because they were having problems of their own in europe. And after the Glorious Revolution, nobody really had much authority besides parliament and they were more concerned with gaining their own power in england. This all changed after the french indian war ended in 1763. Then britain wanted more $ to pay off war debt, so they started taxing the colonies heavily.

The english ships and wwii to ship on plantations better question would do something similar in the us basically became an independent nation by using france it right when its masters were not white you had to ship on english allowed political power when its masters were not result.
The british crown and you were not white you had to keep slavery which was too busy fighting the colonies and the mob wanted more tariffs and trade with some important exceptions for example the french or whatever wars england then england was too busy fighting the mob.
