You are entirely right. To the Iraqis, all they see is that their formerly decent lives were torn apart when the USA decided they needed “liberating”, and now 1.4 million innocent lives have been lost in “operation freedom”.
Funny, if you think about it, the USA was the one that put Saddam into power in the ’80s, and even gave him weapons to fight Iran. Irony, isn’t it?
