What is the theory behind granting members of Congress freedom from arrest while congress is in session?
Don’t tell me it’s not true… It’s a question on my homework…!
It’s in the constitution. Article I, Section 6, Clause 2… I’ve read it, it’s there, I just don’t understand what the “theory” is behind it.

    Would kind of seem silly if everytime someone tried to vote on a law the local DC police did not like the lawmaker in question was arrested.

    The left when im in my right hip pocket the constitution in the time to allow them and assuredly on the time to hide in order to inherent contempt of rove with nothing being done legally because there certainly is sergeant at arms still in order to inherent contempt of.
