What is the difference between terrorists and freedom fighters?
Pinkerton asked:
It seems like the labels are always defined by the victors. Whoever is in power calls anyone who is against it a terrorist, but once the people in power are overthrown, the former terrorists are called freedom fighters, and those originally in power are labeled the new terrorists.
Even well-known freedom fighting groups have used terroristic tactics such as killing civilians. Also, many so called terrorists claim to be fighting for their freedom. So, what is the difference?

Freedom fighters would still attack americawhere as freedom fighters would still attack americawhere as liberationfreedom or against physically tangibile.
For an ideology using terror warfarefreedom fighters fight against physically tangibile objective such as liberationfreedom or against oppression.

There is no real difference. It really does depend on to whom the victory goes. The US government considers insurgents in Iraq terrorists when they are not. So it really just depends on who is doing the labeling.

The only difference i can think of is that the people in power aren’t killing within, but those who we label as “terrorists”, are killing in other countries as well as killing people in their own countries.
