freedom
Aamir Q asked:

where is the line between the two? is there a line. historically US freedom fighters did commit acts of terrorism on Tories that were unrelated to the struggle, and killed innocent lives, so were we terrorists? will the opinion change looking through the eyes of the British and Americans.

this is a opinion question, please give examples.

What is true freedom and how to achieve it?

freedom
Bob R asked:

Being bound to work restricts freedom. Don’t you sometimes feel like running away from the hassles of work? Does marriage also restrict freedom? I think many married people feel that their freedom has been restricted.
Is it not possible to not to be bound to anyone or anything and live life on day to day basis and do whatever, whenever and wherever you feel like doing (here I am not talking about insane things). Do you feel sometimes trapped by modern forms of slavery like mortgage etc?
Please tell me honestly, in which ways you sometimes feel bound and wish you were free?

Who knows what freedom is and are using your freedom as an abuse?

eusebiusjerome asked:

Who knows what freedom is and are using your freedom as an abuse?

Everyone has a freedom that can’t be taken away from them and the Americans have freedom from such things; but who is using both types of freedom in the wrong way?
the wrong way is thinking you have freedom to do whatever you want and whenever you want. That is the wrong way. You do not have that type of Freedom. We have freedom to vote, freedom to religion, freedom to write, freedom of speach, freedom to read books, freedom to drive, freedom to go to school.

Oh you can abuse true freedom; you did by leaving God and not loving him. So did all the Atheists and Agnostics, Pagans, and all the cults of the world.
The one freedom everyone has is from God himself; that is to stay with God and love him. But if you abuse this freedom; you will leave God and not love him as the law requires.

Do you see all these sexual ads saying do whatever you want? Those are the Freedoms we do not have, but they think they do. We do not have the freedom to that.
You say you won’t worship God. He gave you life and this is how you repay him. your ancestors said the same thing and they all died in the desert and the 2 that lied to God in the new testament dropped over dead; by one lie each.

Who is the real terrorist and freedom fighter?

Dr. Independent asked:

One person’s patriotism is another terrorism. From certain points a view an innocent person is just as guilty. We invaded another country and we are considered the good guys. To others we are the bad guys. From certain points of view we are terrorists.

So there are no facts saying we fight for freedom and liberty if others believe we are terrorists and bullies.

Also a note to those people who say we have a military. England has the largest military in thr world. Just to let you know.

Who are we to say who is right and wrong?

True Purpose in Life

Thursday, June 4th, 2009

One of the major problems in the field of behavior science is the problem of people feeling they have no apparent purpose in their lives. Many in today’s world feel that they are trapped in an existence that offers little in the way of inspiration or guidance or pragmatic instruction for life improvement. This situation has been amplified by the Depression that has descended upon the world.

“If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable” (1 Cor 15:19).

General Douglas MacArthur (one of the generals who helped to achieve victory in World War II) said in a speech after the Japanese surrender: “We have had our last chance. If we cannot devise some greater and equitable system, our Armageddon will be at our door. The problem basically is theological and involves a spiritual recrudescence, an improvement [in] human character that will synchronize with our almost matchless advances in science, art, literature and all material and cultural developments of the past two thousand years. It must be of the spirit if we are to save the flesh.” It can only be of the spirit if we are to save the flesh. The flesh being saved will be the human trainees left over from the tribulation.

Christ spoke of the same problem almost twenty centuries ago. Focusing on the last days, he said, “…except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved…” (Matthew 24:22). Christ predicted a time when all life could be erased from the face of this planet (the time period in which we now live). “[Seeing] then [that] all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in [all] holy conversation and godliness” (2 Peter 3:11).
In harmony with God’s time table, there will be multiple resurrections from the dead (John 5:28-29). There are some false teachers who teach there is no resurrection of the dead (1 Corinthians 15:12).

At the last trumpet the dead in Christ will be raised up at the first resurrection into bodies that do not die (1 Corinthians 15:52-54). Those in the first resurrection will not experience the second death. They will rule with Christ for 1000 years (Revelation 20:6). Many coming up in the second and third resurrections might be surprised to see that they will be judged by their works (Revelation 20:12 and Revelation 20:13).

Which Works?

God will, in time, take away all rebellion to him from the face of the earth. His Son, Christ will take back the planet by force (Revelation 19:11-13) and force peace upon the earth. He will be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, the everlasting Father, and the Prince of peace (Isaiah 9:6). Of the increase of his government there will be no end (verse 7). Individuals who overcome will be given a white stone, awarded to them by Jesus Christ himself. That stone will have the person’s new name, which will be unique in the entire universe. And no one will know the name except the one who receives the stone (Revelation 2:17).

What God has for his people is much more than a repair job to return to an Eden-like environment. What he has planned transcends all that has ever been. The next major positive event for the universe is the kingdom of God coming to this planet, which is the reason we should pray “…thy Kingdom come.”

The kingdoms of this world will be forced to become the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ (Revelation 11:15). The New Jerusalem will come down to this earth and God will tabernacle with his people (Revelation 21:2-3). There will be no more death, sorrow, tears, or pain (verse 4).

“Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32).

“In the last days it will come to pass, [that] the mountain of the LORD’s house will be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills. And all nations shall flow into it” (Isaiah 2:2, Micah 4:1).

“And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem” (Isaiah 2:3 and Micah 4:2).

“And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation neither shall they learn war any more” (Isaiah 2:4 and Micah 4:3).

“And they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken it” (Micah 4:4).
